The brief was for a sculpted, moulded and grooved backwards look to the hair with the abject futurism of the film “Bladerunner” cited as an influence for the show.

To begin, straightening irons were used globally for smoothness.

Hair was then sectioned from the low crown to the top of the ear on either side of the head. Hair beneath this was painted to the head using a mix of Kms California Hair-Stay gel and Flat-Out Straightening crème to mould to the head shape leaving the mid-lengths and ends to hang with the natural fall.

Then, Add Volume Styling Foam was liberally applied through the sides and top and dressed backwards with the fingers and dried with a diffuser. Hair was then fixed with fine fringe pins to further enhance the ridged feel.

To finish, the hair was lightly brushed with talcum powder to reduce shine and finished with Kms California Medium –Hold hairspray.
